While Momo endured, due to complications in the pancreatitis she ended up having her rear legs amputated. This would be a heartbreaking ordeal for any pet parent to go through, but from the experience Mu-Chi developed his amazing idea in the hopes of preventing other cat owners from having to go through the same thing.

If, like Mu Chi, you’ve got multiple cats, Bistro uses facial recognition technology to recognize and record weight and eating habits for as much as three of your kids that are feline. All things considered, if Facebook can use facial recognition to tell us who to label in pictures, why not use exactly the same technology to keep track of your cats? And if anything changes in your cat’s eating habits or weight, the Bistro app will alert you instantaneously, aiding you to catch illnesses or diseases on.

Bistro can track how much your cat eats or drinks through the weight detectors located underneath the water and food trays, and can check kitty’s weight whenever he/she steps on the scale to feed. Additionally, with the built-in camera you are able to watch kitten eat in real-time from your phone, wherever you might be.
